Practical guidelines to speed up pre-press and reduce back-and-forth.
Print requires CMYK color profiles for most processes. RGB images may shift when converted to print — provide files in CMYK whenever possible. For spot colors (Pantone), specify exact swatches and provide a separate spot channel when needed.
Include a minimum 3mm bleed beyond the final cut line for small-format print. For large-format and routed parts, follow the dieline and add recommended manufacturing tolerances. Keep critical text and logos at least 3–5mm inside the final trim (safety area).
Convert fonts to outlines/curves for cut paths and exported PDFs. Supply separate vector paths for cut/crease/score operations. Use stroke widths for laser engraving where applicable and avoid hairline strokes below 0.1mm.
